Miami Lyric Opera concluded the 2011 season with a critically acclaimed performance of Gaetano Donizetti’s Elixir of Love.
The 13 August 2011 finale featured (from left) Daisy Su as Gianetta, Daniel Snodgrass as Sergeant Belcore, Susana Diaz as Adina, David Pereira as Nemorino and Oscar Martinez as Dulcamara.
A free performance of Marina is scheduled for the Bandshell in North Beach (73 Street & Collins) on 5 November 2011. It’s part of the Miami Beach Cultural Promotion for residents. Visit Miami Lyric Opera for details.
This performance of Elixir of Love included English translation of the Italian lyrics, helping the audience follow the story line. Sponsorship of the translations for next season is available.
